Named after the historic lane that was once a bustling centre for the city’s grain trade with warehouses lining the street. Grainery Lane Distillery is located in one of these warehouses and produces spirits made from local grain, herbs, berries and botanicals.

The one-of-a-kind saloon-style bar found and sourced from half-way around the world will bring back the glitz and glamour of the city’s goldrush era – think Peaky Blinders meets The Great Gatsby – with an original bar spanning an entire wall, backdropped by sparkling chandeliers, and furniture reminiscent of the 1880s.

The story through historic Ballarat continues with a secret speakeasy at the back of the building. With a strict invite-only policy, the hidden 40-seat bar lies behind a secret wall and reflect the early 1920s prohibition era.

From old fashioned favourites to new signature creations, both the extensive beverage and food menus have been created to cater for everyone with gluten friendly, vegan and vegetarian options available.

Grainery Lane offers personalised tasting sessions and tours for small and larger groups. A great experience for a team building exercise or pre-dinner entertainment.
